Membership and structure
Four CLACC Fellows are based with IIED partners across East Africa where they support national climate policy networks:

Areas of work
The objectives of the CLACC programme is to; strengthen the capacity of civil society in LDCs to adapt to climate change and fostering adaptive capacity among the most vulnerable groups; establish an information and knowledge system to help countries to deal with the adverse impacts of climate change; integrate adaptation to climate change into the work of key non-government institutions, and mainstreaming the NAPA process with these institutions.
Examples of advocacy (2011-2012)
• Over half of CLACC Fellows were invited to join their national negotiating teams at COP17 and COP18 in recognition of their expertise.
• Advocacy training to 47 youths from the COP17 Youth Caravan – Kenya, 2011.
• Post-COP17 report and Rio+20 position paper – Tanzania, 2011/2012.
• Supporting the coalition-building and climate change awareness-raising of 200 community organizations – Uganda, 2012.
