The Call For Proposals for the Southern Voices on Adaptation is now open and interested networks have until May 26 to send in an application. The project will support 5-7 grants in the range of 15-20.000 USD for each civil society advocacy intervention aimed at influencing national adaptation policies and planning in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

The purpose of the call is to test and develop the Joint Principles for Adaptation (JPA). The JPA is an initiative by the Southern Voices on Adapation to produce a code of good practice for national adaptation planning and implementation to ensure that the needs of poor communities most vulnerable to climate change are met, and their rights respected. The JPA exists in the form of a first draft and they now need to be tried and tested in a range of different countries and contexts.

Applications can be submitted in English, French or Spanish. They must follow the guidelines attached, and sent in using the specific template attached.

Guidelines and template are available in Spanish and French.
